Bio/Description

Henry Zhao is a native English speaker originally from Michigan who is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He received his M.A. in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (Beijing Normal University) and his B.A. in English, with a focus on Film Studies (Michigan State University).  Moving to China after graduating from MSU, he studied Chinese language at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan) and Beijing Normal University (Beijing), receiving both the Confucius Institute Scholarship and Chinese Government Scholarship. Henry studied and lived in China for nearly 6 years before working for the Princeton in Beijing (PiB) program in Summer 2015. After joining the EAS Department in Fall 2015, he now aspires to contribute his professional, academic, and international experience to the growth and future success of the Chinese Linguistics Project and Princeton in Beijing programs at Princeton University.
