Yu Hui 于辉 (Stage Name: Yu Tonghui 于同辉)

                  •               Fourth-generation inheritor of the Qi school of Peking Opera.

                  •               National Second-Class Actor at the Shanghai Jingju Theatre Company.

                  •               Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhou Xinfang Art Research Society.

                  •               Member of the Shanghai Dramatists Association.

                  •               Alumni of the inaugural class of the Chinese Peking Opera School of Styles.

Yu graduated from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, specializing in the Yang school and Qi school of laosheng (elderly male roles). Known for his handsome stage presence, resonant and powerful voice, and solid martial arts skills, his performances are both emotionally engaging and technically refined. He studied under notable mentors such as Su Chenglong, Cheng Zhengtai, and Wang Ping. In 1999, Yu became a disciple of veteran artist Cao Shijia to master the Yang (Yang Baosen) style. Later, in 2013, he apprenticed under Chen Shaoyun, a master of the Qi (Zhou Xinfang) style, further enriching his artistic repertoire.

Yu Hui regularly performs Peking Opera classics such as Clear Breeze Pavilion, Contending for Supremacy between Chu and Han, Four Officials, Black Dragon Courtyard, Execution in the Hall of Scriptures, The Dream on the Memorial Stone, Dingjun Mountain, The Red-Maned Fierce Horse, Yang Yanzhao Visits His Mother, and Qin Qiong Observes the Battle Array.

Teaching and Mentorship:

Yu served as an assistant instructor to Chen Shaoyun and Wang Quanxi during the fourth national Qi school workshop.
